Galler is a chocolate brand certified by the royal family of Belgium, country of chocolate.

Jean Galler

In 1976, Jean Galler founded “Galler” at his age of 21, and he had trained under Gaston Renault, one of the three great chefs of France.

Taking advantage of the experience of chocolate in three major countries, Belgium, France and Switzerland, he is one of the indispensable chocolatiers that speaks of Belgian chocolate as an innovative and creative chocolatier while preserving tradition. The quality was recognized, and in 1994, it was certified as a “Belgian Royal Warrant Holder ” at an exceptional speed.

Past record in Japan

Demand for chocolate in the Japanese market is huge, with annual consumption of 276,589 tons in 2018 (according to Japan Chocolate and Cocoa Association). Belgian chocolate is especially popular, and there are still several Belgian chocolate brands in Japan. Meanwhile, in 2014, Galler was still not well known in the Japanese market yet.

In response to a request from a major consulting company to support the sale of Galler on the Internet, we began trial handling of Galler in 2014. In 2016, the third year, we were able to win first place in the chocolate category in the rankings of major Japanese EC malls such as Amazon Japan, Rakuten Japan and Yahoo Japan.

Recognition of Galler in Japan has increased nearly 10 times between 2014 and 2016.

As a result, we have entered into an exclusive sales and marketing contract with Galler International for internet sales. Then, we have recorded the highest ever EC sales of Galler in the Japanese market on the Internet.

Kato trade is good at marketing strategies using brand sites, and also has an abundant of knowledge and experience in operating EC malls such as Amazon Japan and Rakuten Japan. It is also a big advantage that we receive special support from each mall. Therefore, it is possible to formulate more advanced strategies and execute tactics, which is a factor of improving brand recognition in a short period of time and significantly increasing the number of sales.

Thus, Kato trade, while respecting the image and concept of the partner’s brand, aims to work together as a partner company, and conduct marketing and public relations that maximize the effectiveness of the goal. We have greatly increased the sales of the brand.

We look forward to the day when we can sell your product together in the Japanese market.
